The B800i is not a NAS in any way, shape or form. It is a pure SAN. As a SAN, YOU choose the filesystem that is used, the filesystem is "on your LUN", not "on the SAN." So yes, it will do NTFS but that's a REALLY confusing way to think about it.

WebThe B800i was built on some crappy 32bit processor. Drobo doesn't even give away details about it, on their product sheet. So yes, 16TB volumes is what you can reach at maximum, since thats the natural 32Bit CPU limitation.

Once it made it to about 60% before it failed (Operation Timed Out error) after 3 hours. It had only transferred about 55GB. I tried it again - has been running for about 2 hours so far and is only at about 30%.
